Bats getting into your Waveland home or raised camp? LA Bat Control inspects where they are entering, plans a humane exclusion, and seals the openings that could let them back in.
I’m Charles Parker, owner of Parker Wildlife Control, which operates LA Bat Control. I personally inspect the property, explain what I find, and provide a written estimate for the work I recommend. We serve Waveland and nearby Mississippi Gulf Coast communities from our Slidell area base.
A bat problem does not always begin in the attic. On Gulf Coast properties, we also inspect roof edges, vents, chimney areas, wall openings, and the enclosed space beneath a raised home or camp. Gaps around pilings and trim can be easy to overlook from the ground.
Finding the active entry point matters. Closing one visible gap while leaving other openings available may leave the problem unsolved. During an inspection, I look for signs of bat activity, identify the openings involved, and check the areas that will need repair.
When exclusion is appropriate, we plan the work so bats can leave without being sealed inside. The next step is closing the openings they used and other accessible gaps that could allow them to return. The timing and approach depend on what we find at your property, including whether young bats may be present.
The finished repair matters too. For exposed areas around pilings, trim, roofing, and vents, I’ll explain the materials I propose and how they will look. My goal is a repair that fits the structure and holds up, rather than an obvious patch of expanding foam.
If droppings have accumulated beneath a camp or inside the building, I can also assess the cleanup needed and include that in the estimate.
Keep people and pets away from the bat, close the room if you can, and do not handle or release it. If anyone may have had contact with the bat, contact a healthcare provider or the Mississippi State Department of Health promptly. Let me know about the situation when you call so we can discuss the right next step.
The price depends on where bats are entering, the height and accessibility of the work, how much sealing is needed, and whether cleanup is involved. A raised camp with several openings is a different job from a home with one accessible entry point.
I’ll inspect the property and explain the proposed exclusion, repairs, and any cleanup before giving you an estimate. You’ll know what work is included and why I recommend it.
