How expensive is Bat Removal ?

The cost of bat removal is in direct relation to the amount of work to be done. The first thing people ask me is “how much will it cost?”. 

Like any specialty service, people just have no idea what the costs are, and what things affect the final cost. One thing you can be sure of is hiring someone who has no training, and no warranty will cost you the price of doing it at least twice.

I am in contact with professionals from all over the country via facebook, instagram, and in my attendance of The Wildlife EXPO which is put together by two major non-profit associations. The Wildlife EXPO started in 2010 and I was part of the group that created it. Attendance continues to grow every year.

My contacts in the industry are in the thousands and we get together to discuss our industry almost daily. The cost of bat removal varies from place to place but a few things seem to have a range of price similarities.

The first thing that comes to mind is the initial phone call and that is invariably free, but after that comes the inspection. For most wildlife control operators this is something that they charge a fee for. An inspection is anywhere from $125-$295 on average and will usually include a written estimate, however, if this estimate is for an insurance company the cost will not only go up it will be more involved to include pictures and line item charges. If you do have to pay out of pocket, that payment might be applied towards your deductible if you have one.

Here is a list of things that can cause a normally inexpensive bat removal to go up

1. You live on the water with a raised home. This might mean scaffolding, a manlift and or  expertise in working safely on your roof.
2. Your home is 2 story or more. Again same thing as number one, this type of structure will require expertise on working safely.
3. Yur home is larger than 2k square feet.
